ZTE OPEN SINGLE CORE 1 GHz 3.5 INCH FIREFOX OS SMARTPHONE FULL SPECIFICATIONS
Chinese smartphone giant ZTE has launched the world's first smartphone with Firefox OS. The smartphone is available with Telefonica carrier in spain @ $90. This smartphone will be competing with Nokia 207, Nokia 208 & Samsung Galaxy Star
Android OS dominance on the smartphone market is evident. Almost every new smartphone launched by international brands like Samsung, HTC, Sony & indigenous brands like Micromax, Karbonn run Android OS on it. But Chinese smartphone giant - ZTE has made an exception by launching its latest ZTE Open with Firefox OS. ZTE is well averse that is is very difficult for a smartphone running a new OS to get its foot established in such a cut throat market. Therefore it has strategically launched its ZTE Open at a very competitive price of $90 with moderate specifications. ZTE Open is a brilliant combination of good looks & performance. The 3G smartphone supports micro SIM which a smart move by ZTE as many high end smartphone users would prefer the convenience of an optional budget smartphone in which they can plug their existing micro SIM & move on. ZTE Open sports a 3.5 Inch TFT Capacitive touch screen with multi touch. This smartphone packs a display resolution of 320 x 480 Pixels, ~165 ppi pixels density, 256 K Colours. Dimensionally ZTE Open slips easily in your palm as it measures 114 x 62 x 12.5 mm (4.49 x 2.44 x 0.49 in), it weighs mere 120 gms (4.2 oz) & interestingly there are four colour options to select your very own ZTE Open viz; Black, White, Orange, Blue. The display specifications looks very appealing at this price range & technically ZTE Open is also loaded well to make this a desirable budget smartphone. ZTE Open holds under the hood a Single Core 1 GHz Cortex A5 Processor, Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon Chipset, Adreno 200 GPU, 256 MB RAM. The smartphone packs an internal memory of just 512 MB & there is a support upto 32 GB microSD card (a 2 GB microSD card is included in the box). ZTE Open will come out of the box with Firefox OS. On the data connectivity front this smartphone features Wifi, Bluetooth v2.1, microUSB v2.0. ZTE Open also packs GPS with support for A-GPS & FM Radio. The Primary camera of ZTE Open is of 3.15 MP with geo tagging. The snapper is capable of clicking image of resolution 2048 x 1536 Pixels & record QVGA videos of 320 x 480 Pixels @ 15 fps. There is no secondary camera in this smartphone. ZTE Open packs a Li-ion battery with a juice of 1200 mAh.
