ACER LIQUID S1 5.7 INCH QUADCORE ANNOUNCED

Taiwanese PC, Laptops & Tablet giant has revealed another Smartphone in its Liquid Series named Acer Liquid S1 which will be competing with Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8

Acer Liquid S1 is scheduled to release in Third Quarter of 2013 @ the approx price of 349 Euros / $ 453 / Rs. 25660/-. The Smartphone has a 5.7 Inch TFT Capacitive Touch Screen with Multi Touch & Float UI. The Display resolution is 720 x 1280 Pixels, ~258 ppi pixels density, 16 M Colours, The Dimensions of the Phablet are 163 x 83 x 9.5 mm, weighs 195 gms (6.88 oz) & offers numero uno colour option viz Black. The Phone is a bit heavy & ppi pixels density is not that great (anything above 300 is considered as good), but the rest display specs are good. Now lets look at the technicalities, It holds under the hood a Quadcore 1.5 GHz Cortex A7 Processor, Mediatek MTK 6589 Chipset, PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU, 1 GB RAM. It comes out of the box with Android OS v4.2 (Jelly Bean). Whether you want to play latest games or want to multi task, these specs on such a gigantic display size will be a pleasure. The internal memory of 8 GB is far too less keeping in mind that nowadays some of the games use upto 2 GB of disk space, but the support upto 32 GB microSD compensates for the drawback. The rear features a 8 MP BSI Snapper with LED Flash which will capture your memories in 3264 x 2448 Pixels resolution & can also record HD videos of 1080P @ 30 fps. The primary camera will give better performance in low light also due to its BSI sensor. The front snapper is of 2 MP which is descent enough for video chatting. Liquid S1 also features Wifi, Wifi HotSpot, Bluetooth v3.0, microUSB 2.0, GPS with Support for A-GPS. The power bank has a juice of 2400 mAh.

Xolo is on the verge to launch a its latest smart phone in India. Named the Q700, the smart phone will be available in the market for approximately Rs. 9,999, it will be the cheapest quad-core offering from Xolo.

On the OS fronts Xolo Q700 is the first smart phone from Xolo to offer Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) pre-installed. Xolo Q700 is loaded 1.2GHz quad-core processor (MediaTek 6589W-M processor) with PowerVR SGX544 GPU & further bundled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB (So multi tasks will work efficiently).

Xolo Q700 comes with a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display (960 x 540 P) 16M colours . To match its other smart phones in the Q series, Q700 also gives the One Glass Solution (OGS) technology. It comes with 2400 mAh battery (thats huge), which as per company claims gives 17 hours of talk time and 380 hours of standby time on 2G and 16 hours of talk time and 350 hours of standby time on 3G.

For camera, there is a 5-mega pixel primary camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor and 720p HD video recording and a 0.3-mega pixel secondary facing camera for video chats. It is a dual-SIM smart phone that also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity options. This Xolo Q700 smart phone will be available only in Brown and Blue colour.

This smart phone is already listed on Flipkart.com but the price isn't shown. We are not sure when this smart phone will be officially launched, but it should be available in this week itself.
